Various
activities of reforms are undertaken by the jamat so that the community
gets rid of un islamic traditions(Rasm-wa-Riwaj).
Performance of marriages on the premises of masjid,payement of dower(Mehar) in cash/kind and avoiding extravaganza
Expences during marriages.Positive results are being observed with more marriages being performed inside the masjid and the Mehar amount being payed invariably in cash/kind.the jamat has decided to enforce these codes by boycotting the marriages and functions arranged/performed in an un islamic ways.
A team of young boys is trained for imamat (leading Namaz) and knowledge of funerals/burials as far as gusal-e-mai'at ,kafan etc is concerned is imparted throuhg
special classes so that a fully trained team is ever ready to face any eventualities without depending on the professionals.
There is no restriction on the namazis as to their following of any particular Maslak and school of thought.The followers of different school of thoughts/Fiqhas are treated equally.
Creating civil awareness for upkeep of the street,improving standars of education in the primary schools in the area,settlement of family disputes through the collective decisions of the managing committee of the jamat and sense of belonging to one another mutual respect (Sila-e-rahmi),etc,are other areas,where the jamat is actively working.
